15-Second Brief
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta reflected on his side's 1-3 defeat to Real Betis in a friendly match. He acknowledged disappointment with the result but highlighted some positive aspects of the team's performance.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has commented on his side's loss to Spanish club Real Betis. The friendly match in Dublin ended with a score of 1-3.

“Well, the most important thing is to win, and we weren’t able to do that, so I’m clearly disappointed with the result.

The truth is that we used 25 players, so you have to take the context of the game into account.

In the first half, when we had more of our starters on the pitch, we saw two completely different things: how we played and how we fought, as we had some fantastic moments during that time.

That said, we did struggle, especially in our box and around it, to the standards we are used to. So there’s clearly plenty for us to improve.

You can take some positives from the game, and a poor result can sometimes be a good thing to ignite an even bigger fire in us,” Arteta stated.
