Manchester City may be considering a fresh move for Juventus left-back Andrea Cambiaso. The Italian was on the brink of switching to the Citizens last year, and it seems the door could be open again.
The 26-year-old's future in Turin remains uncertain, with his agent Giovanni Bia emphasising that Cambiaso will only depart for a top-tier club.
“There’s no reason for Andrea to leave Juventus unless a significant offer comes that satisfies both the club and Andrea,” Bia stated.
“Has such an offer arrived? Not yet. Last year, Manchester City were very close, but nothing materialised. This year there’s been interest, both big and small, but Andrea isn't considering the smaller options,” the agent added.
“He will either move to a top club where he will be happy, which will also benefit Juventus, and then we can discuss things. But he won't be heading to others, even mid-table English teams that might offer more than Juventus,” Bia concluded.
Currently, Enzo Maresca has Ryan Ait-Nouri and Nico O’Riley on the left flank. However, Cambiaso's tactical versatility could prove to be a valuable addition for the English giants.
