John Terry has expressed deep concern about Reece James' future at Chelsea, stating that the defender's persistent injury problems could lead to a significant shift in his career.
Terry made the situation clear for the Chelsea academy graduate:
It's a shame his career is unfolding this way, but as long as he can play, he can be of use. I've only seen him play one position — right-back — but now that he's struggling to stay fit there, he's being forced to adapt. You know, I think this could jeopardise his place in the team because he's just not as effective or impactful on the pitch when he’s not playing on the right. I don't know what Alonso and the medical staff will come up with, but Reece needs to take a risk, or he might simply end up leaving the club.
