Jack Grealish played for Manchester City for the first time in 460 days, coming off the bench against Bournemouth. The winger thanked fans for their warm reception, while Everton hopes to bring him back before the transfer window closes.

Winger Jack Grealish responded emotionally to his comeback for Manchester City, coming off the bench in their opening Premier League victory against Bournemouth.

This marked the player's first appearance in the top flight for Enzo Maresca's team in 460 days.

Last season, Grealish spent time on loan at Everton, who had an option to purchase him for £50 million, but the player has returned to the Etihad.

"Thank you to the Manchester City fans for the warm welcome back," Grealish posted on social media following the final whistle, adding a laughing emoji and two blue hearts.

However, the winger's future remains uncertain as the transfer window approaches its close. Everton are confident they can lure the player back to Merseyside.

"He is someone we have kept in touch with. It’s no secret that he chose to rehab here until the end of last season, even though he didn’t have to," remarked Everton’s CEO Angus Kinnear.

"He fell in love with the right shade of blue. But ultimately, he’s a Manchester City player, and we must respect that. The important thing is that he’s back. He had a serious injury, and he worked hard to come back from it."
