Andrea Cambiaso's agent Giovanni Bia has addressed the speculation surrounding a potential transfer of his client from Juventus to Manchester City.
In an interview with Sky Italia, Bia emphasised that the defender is content in Turin and is dismissing offers from mid-table Premier League clubs:
There are no reasons for Andrea to leave Juventus, unless a truly significant offer comes along that satisfies both the club and the player. Has such an offer been made? Not yet. Manchester City was very close last year, but the deal didn’t go through. This year there is some interest, both from big clubs and lesser ones. Andrea isn’t considering the smaller options.
He’ll either move to a top club where he will be happy and which will benefit Juve, or he will stay. He won’t be going to mid-tier English teams, even if they offer more money than he gets in Turin. With all due respect to other clubs, if you ask kids in the academy where they want to play, they will say: Inter, Milan, or Juventus. He’s already at Juve, so why would he leave?
The Italian defender has drawn interest from Manchester City scouts due to his tactical versatility.
With the ability to shift from wing-back to a central midfield position, Cambiaso fits well with Enzo Maresca’s strict demands for full-backs.
As an alternative on the flanks, given the presence of Ryan Ait-Nouri and Nico O'Riley in the City squad, the Italian is seen as a technical and versatile option for rotation.
At this time, Manchester City has not made any official offers to the Turin side, and Cambiaso’s current contract with Juventus runs until the summer of 2029.
