Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has assessed his team's display in their friendly against Juventus. The Spaniard took responsibility for the disappointing result, attributing it to a significant rotation of the squad.

This was unintentional. I tried my utmost to give every player on the bench a chance to step onto the pitch and show what they can do. At that moment, I didn’t realise it would turn out to be a costly mistake for the club.
