The Italian tallied an impressive 94 touches, six interceptions, eight clearances, and 11 recoveries. To top it off, he covered an incredible 14.5 kilometres, completing 51 accurate passes out of 55 attempts.
The press were full of praise for Ruggeri's performance, whereas Savinyo was given a low score of 4/10, struggling under the intense marking provided by the Villa defender.
On the flip side, Tottenham's midfielder Sandro Tonali had a less memorable outing. He began the match positively, creating a chance for Dominic Solanke, but his influence dwindled as Villa's dominance in the midfield grew.
