Former Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been banned from driving for six months. According to The Sun, the Egyptian has been punished for failing to disclose the identity of the driver of his luxury Rolls-Royce Spectre during a speeding incident in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
This road incident occurred back in March, just two days after Salah officially announced his departure from Liverpool. Cameras captured the car going 36 mph in a zone limited to 30 mph. However, the direct speeding charge against the footballer was later dropped.
Despite this, the court found the forward guilty of not providing information about the vehicle's driver. Alongside the six-month driving ban, Salah was ordered to pay a fine of £660, £120 in court costs, and a £264 special compensation fee.
The 34-year-old forward, now playing for Turkish side Trabzonspor, has previously found himself in the crosshairs of British traffic police. In 2022, he received three penalty points and paid £200 for speeding in his Ferrari.
