Tottenham are showing serious interest in Eintracht Frankfurt forward Younes Ebnoutalib. The London club and Juventus have contacted the player's representative to discuss a possible transfer.
Ebnoutalib moved to Frankfurt from Elversberg in January.
Shortly after his debut, the forward suffered a ligament injury and only returned to the pitch in April. He finished the second half of last season with one goal in 131 minutes across five matches.
This season has been a different story.
Ebnoutalib has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 675 minutes over ten appearances, averaging a goal contribution every 67.5 minutes.
In September, the forward also made his debut for the German national team.
According to Sky Deutschland, Tottenham and Juventus are currently seen as the leading candidates for the player.
Both clubs have already reached out to his agent, but it remains unclear whether Ebnoutalib himself is ready to switch teams in January or would prefer to wait until next summer.
The forward's contract with Eintracht runs until 2031, and Transfermarkt values him at €18 million.
Before the recent departure of sporting director Markus Krösche, the club had already discussed a new agreement with the player.
In February, Joti Chatzialexiou will begin work in Frankfurt, after which negotiations over an extension should resume.
The pause in these discussions potentially gives Tottenham and other interested clubs the opportunity to engage before the winter transfer window.
