Harry Kane looks set to stay at Bayern Munich and sign a new contract with the Bavarian giants. This development diminishes the prospect of a transfer to Manchester United, who continue to show interest in the England captain.
The 33-year-old striker's current deal expires at the end of the season, with negotiations already underway. According to journalist Pete O'Rourke, Kane is not contemplating a departure from Bayern at this time.
O'Rourke stated:
There are no signs that Kane wants to leave right now. He seems happy at Bayern.
The club is providing him with everything he needs. I think all parties want to come to an agreement on a new contract, and Bayern will look to resolve this matter soon.
Previously, it was reported that Manchester United co-owner Jim Ratcliffe is personally keen on bringing Kane to Old Trafford. Meanwhile, German outlets have indicated that the forward wishes to include a release clause in any new contract with Bayern, which could facilitate a future return to England.
Following a recent match, Kane confirmed that talks are ongoing.
