Declan Rice is set to extend his long-term relationship with Arsenal. The club's hierarchy is working on a new contract for the pivotal midfielder that could see him stay at the Emirates until at least 2031.
Currently, Rice's deal runs until the summer of 2028, but talks about an extension have already begun. It's anticipated that negotiations will pick up speed as soon as head coach Mikel Arteta resolves his own future.
The terms of the renewed contract will place Rice’s salary on par with Bukayo Saka, who recently secured a lucrative deal until 2031, becoming one of the club's highest earners.
The midfielder joined the Gunners from West Ham in 2023 for a club-record fee of £105 million and has since become an essential figure in Arteta’s tactical setups.
