Enzo Marekasa praised Vitor Reis for his pre-season matches with Manchester City but has postponed a decision on his future until the end of the training camp.

Manchester City manager Enzo Marekasa has praised the impact of 20-year-old Brazilian defender Vitor Reis during the club's recent Asian tour.

The young centre-back joined City from Palmeiras in January 2025 and spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Girona, where he featured in 36 La Liga matches. Upon his return to the City squad, Reis caught the attention of the coaching staff with solid performances in second halves against both Inter Milan and a team of K-League stars.

The Italian coach confirmed that a decision on the player's future will be made in due course:

Vitor is doing really well. I’m pleased with him. The only thing is, for most of the young players with us, the plan is to finish our pre-season preparations before making any final decisions.

And we will make the best decision for them, not just for us.
