The London club Chelsea has officially confirmed the signing of 36-year-old former Liverpool captain and England international Jordan Henderson.
The experienced midfielder joins the Blues on a free transfer following the mutual termination of his contract with Brentford.
The midfielder has signed a two-year agreement with Chelsea, lasting until June 2028.
“Considering the magnitude of the club, the head coach, whom I hold in great respect, and the quality of players, this was an amazing opportunity that I simply couldn't refuse.
I was also impressed by how strongly the board wants Chelsea to succeed and move in the right direction.
My goal is to give my all every day both on and off the pitch to help my teammates as much as possible. I am really excited to get started,” Henderson said.
