Midfielder Bruno Guimaraes spoke about the warm reception at Arsenal. New teammate Declan Rice greeted him with a humorous message.
The Brazilian has faced the Gunners on the pitch since his move to the Premier League in 2022. Now, the former Newcastle player will share midfield duties with Rice.
“Rice sent me a message saying, ‘Come here and please no more fighting, we’re friends now!’ I was happy he reached out. In my opinion, Arsenal’s midfield is one of the best in Europe. Every player is fantastic. Every time I played against Arsenal, it was very tough. They hold the ball well and defend as a unit. I think this combination is how I love to play, and of course, joining a league-winning side is always a huge opportunity,” Guimaraes revealed.
