Arsenal have intensified their pursuit of a winger after Vinicius Junior committed his future to Real Madrid.

According to reports from Italian outlets Calciomercato and La Stampa, the Gunners have identified Kenan Yildiz as a top candidate to bolster Mikel Arteta's attacking options. The 21-year-old versatile player from Juventus is seen as a promising alternative.

Mikel Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta are keen to enhance their front line, and Yildiz, who is capable of playing both on the wing and in the number ten role, fits the bill perfectly.

Financial hurdles and other candidates

  • Juventus' demands: The Old Lady currently holds a strong negotiating position, having signed Yildiz to a four-year deal back in February. Juventus reportedly value their winger at significantly over €100 million (£86 million).
  • Barcola as an alternative: Despite the interest in Yildiz, Bradley Barcola remains Arsenal's ideal solution for the left flank. Berta has already been in touch with the Frenchman's camp to try and steal a march on Liverpool, but PSG have slapped a £129 million (€150 million) price tag on the player.
  • Other options: The Gunners' shortlist also includes Nico Williams and Iliman Ndiaye.
