Tottenham have abandoned a transfer for Chelsea striker nicholas jackson due to a €70m price tag. Insider Ekrem Konur.

Tottenham have shown a strong interest in Chelsea's 25-year-old Senegalese striker, nicholas jackson, but have been forced to halt negotiations.

According to insider Ekrem Konur, the main stumbling block has been the financial demands set by the blues' hierarchy.

The Senegal international was on Spurs' transfer wishlist for this summer; however, the club deemed Chelsea's asking price of €70m (around £60m) to be excessive and subsequently pulled out of potential talks.

Spurs are actively pursuing reinforcements in the central attacking line, weighing up several candidates in the Premier League market.

Stamford Bridge, meanwhile, are unwilling to offer discounts to direct competitors and are prepared to part ways with jackson only if their full valuation is met.
