Newcastle United have entered negotiations for the potential signing of 28-year-old French striker Christopher Nkunku from Milan.
The Magpies have made an enquiry to the Italian giants regarding the possible deal.
At this stage, discussions are still in their infancy, but Milan appear open to parting with the player. New head coach Ruben Amorim does not see the Frenchman fitting into his tactical plans for the upcoming season.
Since taking over at Milan, the Portuguese manager has been reshaping the squad to fit his playing style and has put the former Chelsea forward up for sale.
The Italian club values the striker at around €35 million but is willing to explore various deal structures, including a loan with an option to buy.
Aside from Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, and Roma are also keeping a close eye on the situation surrounding Nkunku.
