Everton are planning to sign Tottenham's midfielder Papa Sarra for £21 million as a replacement for Idrissa Gueye, with five other clubs also interested.

Everton are exploring the possibility of signing 23-year-old Senegalese midfielder Papa Matara Sarra from Tottenham Hotspur. The Toffees view the young midfielder as a direct long-term replacement for his compatriot Idrissa Gueye.

According to reports from Afrik-Foot, Tottenham's hierarchy are willing to part ways with Sarra if they receive an offer in the region of £21 million (approximately €24.5 million) without bonuses included.

Aside from Everton, several clubs including Nottingham Forest, Brentford, Aston Villa, Turkish side Galatasaray, and Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli have also shown considerable interest in the midfielder.

The London club is open to negotiating a deal provided the fixed price of £21 million is met, which sets the stage for an exciting few weeks as the transfer window approaches its conclusion.

At Everton, there is optimism that Sarra can seamlessly fill the defensive midfield role thanks to his Premier League experience and similar work ethic.
