According to talkSPORT, Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer will receive a call-up to the England squad for upcoming matches.
Previously, national team manager Thomas Tuchel omitted the player from the World Cup squad due to health issues and subpar physical condition.
However, Palmer has since found excellent form. In six matches this season, the 24-year-old midfielder has scored four goals and provided two assists.
The player himself believes that missing the World Cup was beneficial for him. A full summer's rest allowed him to recuperate and regain optimal shape.
During the three-week international break, England will play four Nations League matches, including a home game against World Cup winners Spain. Tuchel is expected to announce his final squad on Friday, September 18.
