Legendary Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has criticised the club's owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG). The former midfielder has urged club officials to allocate more funds for transfers for the team's new head coach, Andoni Iraola.
Gerrard stressed that the club is repeating past mistakes and failing to provide the necessary resources for the coach to compete with leading clubs in Europe.

A new head coach comes in, supporters are excited, football improves... then the squad is simply not given enough support.
You can't expect Andoni Iraola to compete with Manchester City, Arsenal, and Real Madrid when you're relying on the same set of players week in and week out.
If Mohamed Salah has left and Cody Gakpo might depart, replace them properly. I don't care if it's Bradley Barcola, Michael Olise, or Vinicius Junior... just give the coach the tools to fight.
Liverpool don't need another rebuild. They need ambition.
