Manchester City defender Rico Lewis has praised the work of new head coach Enzo Maresca, highlighting the clarity and directness of his communication since his appointment.
Currently, Lewis and his teammates are in Seoul as the Citizens embark on a pre-season tour of Asia. They are set to face Atletico Madrid in their final friendly match on Sunday.
The academy graduate revealed that the players have quickly grasped the coach's expectations and demands.
“I’ve known Enzo since the treble season. From the first week, we understood how things were going to be – very clear, very straightforward, very honest. The style of play and how he wants us to work are clear. It’s important for a player to have a precise understanding of what the coach wants, and so far, that’s exactly the case,” said Lewis.
