Brighton's Pascal Gross has shared his thoughts following the team’s emphatic 3-0 win over Arsenal in the fifth round of the Premier League.
Gross highlighted the intensity Brighton displayed, citing their high press and the confidence gained from previous victories.
According to Gross, Brighton capitalised on their opponents' errors and produced what he deemed a near-perfect performance.
“I think we showed great intensity, we were waiting for mistakes and punishing Arsenal. It was a strong and very complete display.”
The midfielder also emphasised the team’s effectiveness following their interceptions:
“We pressed high up the pitch and really attacked quickly. After our last two wins, we were brimming with confidence and wanted to finish this segment well ahead of the international break.”
Gross further spoke about his current condition and his life at the club:
“I’m feeling really good. I can’t complain. I just try to help the team whenever I can. I’m really enjoying life at Brighton; I love it here.”
With a packed schedule awaiting after the international break, Gross acknowledged the challenges that lie ahead for his team.
“I know that after the international break, we will be playing every three days, and many of the lads aren't used to that. It’s going to be tough. I hope we can handle it. We have a strong squad this season.”
