Marcus Rashford has turned down the opportunity to leave Manchester United for Galatasaray. The Turkish club reached out to the 28-year-old forward, but he firmly declined their advances.
According to reports from Turkish media, the conversations on behalf of Galatasaray were led by Ilhan Gundogan, uncle of Manchester City star Ilkay Gundogan.
Journalist Ali Naghi Kuyuk shared:
Ilhan Gundogan spoke to Rashford on behalf of Galatasaray. Rashford responded: 'I don't want to leave. I'm not considering a move to Turkey.'
Rashford has returned to Manchester United after a loan spell at Barcelona, where the Catalans opted not to extend his stay. He is now back in the fold under Michael Carrick's stewardship.
Galatasaray, meanwhile, continues their hunt for a winger, with one of their main targets being Rafael Leao.
