Juventus are actively searching for another central striker and have turned their attention to Joshua Zirkee and Jean-Philippe Mateta. Currently, the top option for the Turin club is a forward from Manchester United.
Sporting director Ricky Massara is particularly keen on Zirkee. The Italian outfit is looking to capitalise on Manchester United's willingness to let the 25-year-old leave, potentially opting for a loan deal.
Meanwhile, Mateta remains on Juventus' shortlist. The Crystal Palace striker nearly moved to Milan last winter, but the deal fell through after concerns were raised regarding his knee during the medical checks.
Juventus are aware of Mateta's injury history, yet have not dismissed his candidacy outright. Moreover, the length of Mateta's contract with Crystal Palace, which runs until 2027, could complicate matters.
The Turin giants are not looking to splash out on a new forward, as they are primarily banking on Randal Kolo Muani for their attacking options. As such, Juventus are exploring relatively affordable options for depth, and the potential pursuit of Mateta will largely hinge on the outcome of discussions regarding Zirkee.
