Liverpool are tracking 15-year-old forward Michael Malholland of Crusaders. According to the Daily Mail, the Merseyside club's scouts have been watching the young talent up close.
Malholland is regarded as one of the most promising talents in Northern Ireland for his age group. It’s reported that he once scored an astonishing 256 goals in a single youth season. The striker is already representing his country at youth level and has a contract with adidas.
Despite his young age, Malholland has already been given the opportunity to play for the senior Crusaders team. He made his debut in September, scoring in his first match against Coleraine, although the game ended in a 4-1 defeat. So far, he has netted one goal in two appearances for the first team.
Liverpool's interest in the forward isn't new; reports suggest that the club has been considering a move for Malholland as far back as this summer, planning a potential signing for 2027.
With his 15th birthday approaching in January, he cannot leave Northern Ireland just yet. However, his situation could change significantly after he turns 16, allowing Liverpool to potentially make their move.
