Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown is convinced that after their Premier League triumph, the Gunners must take one final step towards European supremacy by securing Atletico's Julian Alvarez.
In a recent statement, Keown said:
To win the Champions League, you need to operate on a completely different level. Alvarez is exactly the kind of player who fits that description. Arsenal had previously shown interest in him, and he's the type of profile they should be pursuing right now. If the club aims to dominate not just in England but also in Europe, they must make these targeted signings at the right time.
I was encouraged to see the club involved in the race for Vinicius Junior. It’s clear that snapping him up from Real Madrid was nearly impossible, but the fact that they were making approaches demonstrates the level of ambition Arsenal have. They're in a position now to attract the very best players.
