The 40-year-old veteran, who hung up his boots last summer, was spotted in the Reds' training gear during a session with the under-11 academy team.
At present, Milner does not hold a permanent official position within the club's hierarchy; the ex-player is currently on an internship, gaining practical experience following a lengthy career at the top level.
However, Milner's ambitions are crystal clear. He has successfully completed his UEFA A coaching license and is now on the path to acquiring the prestigious UEFA Pro license to coach at the professional adult level.
