Crystal Palace are on the brink of finalising the transfer of 21-year-old right-back Anan Halaili from Union Saint-Gilloise and the Israeli national team.

According to Israeli outlet Sport 5 and Belgian publication Het Laatste Nieuws, the deal is nearly complete, with the transfer fee set to be around €30 million. The player sat out the last match for his Belgian club against Westerlo and is expected to arrive in London soon for a medical and to sign his contract.

Failed move to Inter and interest from the Premier League

  • Club interest: Earlier in July, the player's father confirmed contacts with Crystal Palace and Newcastle United, but initially, the player had favoured a move to Inter Milan.

Last season, Halaili made 52 appearances for Union Saint-Gilloise across all competitions, scoring six goals and providing six assists. His agility and versatility allow him to cover the entire right flank, from defence to winger.
