Bradley Barcola prefers Liverpool over Arsenal; the clubs are continuing negotiations over the transfer fee.

PSG winger Bradley Barcola has expressed a preference to join Liverpool, despite interest from Arsenal.

According to insider Ben Jacobs, the 23-year-old Frenchman is leaning towards continuing his career at Anfield, provided the Merseysiders can reach an agreement with the Parisians regarding the transfer fee.

Negotiations and transfer fee

French media report that Barcola has already agreed to personal terms with Liverpool. However, the main obstacle remains PSG's financial demands:

  • PSG is asking for a fee close to $200 million (£145 million).
  • Liverpool is preparing an initial offer of around $133–138 million (€120 million / £99 million).

Despite significant differences in valuation, the clubs are continuing dialogue. PSG's hierarchy is open to selling the player due to the heavy competition for attacking spots in their squad.

Arsenal's position

Arsenal had considered Bradley Barcola as an alternative to Vinicius Junior, who recently extended his contract with Real Madrid. However, the Gunners are trailing Liverpool in the race for the Frenchman, as the Merseysiders have made him their priority transfer target.

Should the deal ultimately fall through, Mikel Arteta's side may redirect their focus towards Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez.
