The Gambian winger for Brighton, Yankuba Minte, has openly commented on Liverpool's interest, noting that the style of the Merseyside club perfectly aligns with his playing qualities.
The 22-year-old footballer has emphasised his lifelong ambition to perform at the highest level:
I have always dreamed and believed that one day I would play for one of the greatest clubs in the world. My dream club? Any top team that comes for me. But I really feel like Liverpool would suit me very well.
Minte is aware of the strong interest from Liverpool but has stressed that he remains focused on his current performances. Previously, Liverpool's hierarchy made two official bids of £50 million and £60 million, both of which were rejected by Brighton, who are keen to keep hold of their key wide man.
The winger also spoke about his relationship with former Reds star Sadio Mane, who regularly keeps in touch with him and offers professional advice to aid his career development.
