Jan-Paul Van Heck and Mickey Van de Ven have avoided serious injuries while with the Netherlands and could feature for Tottenham against Manchester United.

Tottenham defenders Jan-Paul Van Heck and Mickey Van de Ven have both dodged serious injuries while representing the Netherlands. With the match against Manchester United fast approaching on October 10, the club will be relieved that both players are still in the frame to play.

Van Heck sustained a foot injury following a clash with an opponent during the away fixture against Serbia. He was able to participate in the first training session with his national team after the match, but subsequently returned to London.

According to reports from VI and journalist Joost Blauwfoof, the 26-year-old centre-back’s injury is not serious. He is expected to miss minimal time and could be available for Tottenham's clash at Old Trafford.

Similarly, Van de Ven also managed to escape any significant damage. He was forced to leave the field during the home encounter with Serbia after Luka Jovic stepped on his hand. The pain left the defender unable to continue, resulting in the Netherlands playing for a short period with ten men.

The Netherlands' head coach confirmed after their 2-1 victory that there are no serious concerns regarding Van de Ven’s condition.

“He’s fine. He felt a bit dizzy from the finger injury, but it’s not a serious one,” the coach stated.
