Tottenham are closely monitoring Benfica winger Gianluca Prestianni and could make a move for his services in the upcoming January transfer window. The highly-rated 20-year-old Argentine has started the season in remarkable form, attracting interest from multiple European clubs.
Prestianni has netted five goals and provided three assists in just seven appearances in the Primeira Liga. Additionally, he has scored three goals in four qualifying matches for the Europa League.
Tottenham scouts have been tracking the young talent since the beginning of the season. They were recently present at Benfica's match against Porto, where despite Benfica's 1-3 defeat, Prestianni managed to contribute with an assist.
Overall, he boasts eight goals and three assists across all competitions this season.
The interest in Prestianni is not limited to Tottenham, with Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid also keeping an eye on him. Diego Simeone's side is particularly keen on emerging Argentine talents.
Prestianni has also received a call-up to the Argentina national team under Lionel Scaloni, which has further heightened the interest from potential suitors watching him perform on the international stage.
Benfica find themselves in a strong position for negotiations, as Prestianni's contract runs until the summer of 2029, with a release clause set at €100 million. His current market value is estimated to be around €20 million, a significant rise from the €9 million Benfica paid to acquire him in 2024.
Interestingly, Prestianni is represented by super agent Jorge Mendes. This summer, Tottenham navigated negotiations with Mendes during the transfer of Mateus Fernandes, meaning there is already an established relationship between the parties involved.
