Theo Walcott is optimistic about Arsenal's title defence in the Premier League, stating the squad possesses all the necessary qualities, but warns a fix to their away form is crucial, highlighted by points lost during their encounter with Brighton.
I think they’re brilliant and I feel they have what it takes to defend the title, but it won’t be easy as they will want to win the Champions League too, Walcott remarked during an appearance on talkSPORT Drive.
Walcott singled out summer signing Christo Tsolis as a player struggling in away games, drawing parallels with the past issues faced by Mesut Ozil at Selhurst Park:
Don’t start him; play someone else who will work for the team.
Furthermore, he pointed out Arsenal's dip in performance from set pieces, following a record 23 goals last season, warning that the atmosphere around the club is becoming tense and players are beginning to doubt their actions.
