The Brazilian side San Paulo has made an unexpected move to sign 39-year-old former Leicester City and England striker Jamie Vardy as a free agent.
The South American giants have submitted an official proposal, hoping to convince the legendary English goalscorer to prolong his career in Brazil's Serie A. Vardy is currently weighing up several options and has yet to make a definitive decision on his next club.
Vardy recently left Italian side Cremonese after his contract expired, where he notched up 7 goals in 29 appearances during the 2025/26 season.
San Paulo are on the hunt for a top-tier, experienced striker without any transfer fees to bolster their attack under the guidance of Dorival Junior.
Aside from the tempting offer from Brazil, Vardy is also attracting interest from West Ham, managed by Nuno Espirito Santo.
