Ronald Araujo has touched down in England to wrap up his transfer from Barcelona to Liverpool, as confirmed by Sky Sports journalist Nicolas Bieber.
The Uruguayan defender arrived in Manchester on a private jet, where he is set to undergo a medical examination. Following that, he will make his way to Liverpool to finalize the paperwork.
The clubs have already ironed out the details for a loan deal that will see Araujo stay at Anfield until the end of the season.
A purchase option has also been included, allowing Liverpool to sign the defender permanently for €55 million.
During the loan period, the English club will cover Araujo’s full salary, which is reported to be around €11 million net.
The 27-year-old now just needs to pass his medical to officially become a Liverpool player.
