Sunderland's head coach Regis Le Bris is buzzing ahead of their season opener in the Premier League against Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
This season holds historic significance for the Black Cats as they not only make their return to the top tier of English football but also step onto the European stage for the first time in over half a century.
“We are really excited. This is going to be one of the most thrilling seasons for Sunderland in the last 50 years. We're back in Europe and competing in the Premier League. We fully understand the challenges that lie ahead, but our performances have earned us this right,”
Le Bris added. “Ipswich were in the Premier League two years ago and gained valuable lessons from that experience. Plus, this is their first home match of the season. We know exactly what to expect and will be fully prepared to showcase our strength.”
