Como president Mirvan Suvarso denied rumours of a clause in Cesc Fabregas' contract allowing him to leave for Chelsea, Arsenal, or Barcelona. The club will release the manager at any moment without compensation.

Como president Mirvan Suvarso has addressed speculation regarding a so-called secret clause in Cesc Fabregas' contract that would permit the 39-year-old to manage Chelsea, Arsenal, or Barcelona with a lowered exit fee.

Suvarso made it clear that Fabregas, who is also a minority owner of Como, is free to choose his next destination without the need for financial compensation from the club upon his departure.

He doesn’t need any clause to go wherever he wants. In this business, he is first and foremost our friend, and everything else comes second. Cesc can leave whenever and wherever he pleases. If he calls me tomorrow and says, ‘Listen, I want to go to Bayer,’ I’ll simply say: if that’s genuinely what you want, then go ahead. I don’t need any compensation.

He has helped us build this club and laid the footballing foundations. I like to compare him to our Johan Cruyff, who did the same at Barcelona. Cesc has created the core of our game. I’m happy to work with him; he’s practically part of our family. But it’s impossible to hold onto people who no longer want to be here,” the Como president stated.
