Liverpool's young winger Rio Ngumoah has shared his aspirations of making the England squad for Euro 2028. The 18-year-old is determined to establish himself firmly at the international level.
Currently, Ngumoah is concentrating on breaking into Thomas Tuchel's starting XI. The competition to secure a place in the national team is fierce.
However, Ngumoah has set his sights even higher. The 2028 European Championship will take place in Great Britain and Ireland, and the winger will be nearing 20 years old by the time the tournament kicks off.
He firmly believes that his consistent performances for both club and country will determine whether he earns a spot in Tuchel's squad for the home tournament.
“I would definitely like to be part of the team. I think if I just keep doing what I'm doing, whether it's for the national team or at club level, if I continue to show who I am and how I play—scoring, assisting, and helping the team win trophies—then I would absolutely want to be part of the squad, and hopefully, we can go all the way.”
