Milos Kerkaz criticises Liverpool's attitude towards recovery following their 0-0 draw with Fulham. The defender stated the team struggled to recover after the match against Atletico and lost battles in duels.

Milos Kerkaz is not holding back when it comes to raising concerns about Liverpool's approach to physical recovery.

The Hungarian defender, who started on the bench, was brought on at halftime for Kostas Tsimikas and believes the team struggled with fatigue after their emotionally charged victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League earlier in the week.

In a candid post-match interview, Kerkaz highlighted the shortcomings in the Reds' performance:

It’s very difficult when every player gives so much in a match like the one against Atletico – we truly fought in that game. Prior to that, we had a tough away match against Ipswich Town. Now we faced Fulham, a side that likes to combine well and forces you to run and move a lot.

It’s tough, but it’s more of a mental issue. At this level, recovery needs to be taken deadly seriously. We were not ready 100% in duels and second balls; the opposition won those far more often.

When you step onto the pitch, it doesn’t matter how many minutes you play or if you start; you are obliged to fight for the club, for this badge. That is what I strive to do every time. Everyone must share this mentality because we are representing Liverpool. We need to be united and fight for each other.
