15-Second Brief
Joao Pedro urges Chelsea to urgently fix their defensive issues after a draw with Hull City (2-2). The forward contributed with a goal and an assist, stressing that points lost early in the Premier League will be hard to regain.

Chelsea forward Joao Pedro has called on his teammates to raise their performance levels immediately, following a disappointing 2-2 draw at home to Hull City in the fourth round of the Premier League.

The Brazilian striker had an impressive outing, scoring once and providing an assist, as part of the attacking trio alongside Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers. Despite their attacking prowess, defensive lapses have undermined the efforts of the forwards, with the Blues slipping up for the second consecutive match and yet to keep a clean sheet this season.

In a post-match interview, the Brazilian warned of the repercussions of their poor form:

We started really well, pressing and controlling the ball. But we need to improve on the details. We must adapt as quickly as possible, as we know the level of the Premier League. If we keep dropping points at the start, it will be incredibly hard to recover them at the end of the season.

We knew that if they took the lead, they would sit back and catch us on the counter. It was a tough match. In the end, we at least got a point, but we must do better. I believe we will sort it out very soon.
