Bournemouth manager Marko Rose has reflected on his team's 1-1 draw against Everton in the Premier League, emphasising the quality of performance his side displayed throughout the match and thanking fans for their warm reception at Vitality Stadium.
The German tactician noted that he was satisfied with the overall content of the game, despite missing out on a win at the death:
"Ultimately, everything comes down to the final result, but it's also vital for a manager to assess the quality of play — and in most phases of the game, it was really good. The match was quite open, with both teams going at it. We still need to improve in certain areas. Regarding the goal we conceded, I wouldn't classify it as a clear set-piece since we had already neutralised the danger in that moment, but I don't want to blame anyone: today, I saw plenty of positive aspects."
Rose also expressed gratitude towards the Bournemouth supporters for their backing during his home debut as manager:
"I am sincerely thankful for such a warm welcome and really appreciate the opportunity to lead this team. Managing a group in a match like this is a wonderful feeling. Like last week, we really wanted to delight our fans with a victory, but we will have to wait another week for that."
