Manchester United are seriously interested in 22-year-old Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Warton.
According to The Sun, United's head coach Michael Carrick has personally highlighted the Englishman as a potential asset. He sees Warton as an ideal reinforcement for the midfield.
The club is weighing up their options ahead of the transfer window closure, with a view to strengthening their squad.
However, a deal for Warton isn't expected to come cheap, with Crystal Palace reportedly valuing him at around £85 million. This hefty price tag positions him among the most sought-after midfielders in the market this summer.
On top of that, Warton is under contract with the Eagles until 2029, which provides the club with a strong negotiating position in any discussions with Manchester United.
