Due to potential sanctions and the risk of relegation, Manchester City might organise a mass sale of players. Interested clubs could acquire Erling Haaland and other stars at a 30% discount given the club's wage management issues.

If Manchester City are found guilty of financial misdeeds and drop out of the Premier League, they may be forced into a fire sale of their star players at reduced prices.

An independent commission has ruled that City breached financial rules for nine years, with accusations of creating fake sponsorship contracts worth over £900 million. Despite the verdict, the City hierarchy maintains their innocence and is preparing to appeal.

Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness believes the immense pressure on the club's wage bill could prompt a mass exodus of their top talents.

“Relegation would force the hierarchy to look at the situation purely from a business perspective. World-class players would hit the market, but the pool of prospective buyers would be quite limited. Expect discounts of around 25 to 30 percent off their true market value, as the club simply won't be able to command top prices for every departing player,” Wyness explained.
