Luis Suarez rips into Diekeres but praises Joao Pedro from Chelsea

Uruguayan hitman Luis Suarez has given a candid and scathing critique of two rising stars in European football – Victor Diekeres and Joao Pedro of Chelsea.

Suarez expressed skepticism about Diekeres' readiness for the elite level:

He still lacks the level. He’s good, but I believe he is not yet at the required skill… He will reach that standard in a year or two.

However, the former Barcelona forward couldn’t hide his genuine admiration for Joao Pedro’s performances with Chelsea:

But there is one striker who truly surprised me – it’s Joao Pedro. The one from Chelsea. I’m absolutely thrilled with him. I’ve seen him a few times at Brighton, but now at Chelsea, he’s really starting to impress me.
