Former Manchester United and France striker Louis Saha believes Manchester City are the strongest team in the ongoing Premier League title race. After the latest round of fixtures, the Cityzens head into the international break with a three-point cushion atop the table.
City secured a thrilling 5-3 victory over Sunderland, with Antoine Semenyo bagging a brace and additional goals from Enzo Fernandez, Ryan Cherki, and Erling Haaland. Despite a hat-trick from Bryan Brobbey for the visitors, it wasn’t enough to avoid defeat.
Meanwhile, Arsenal suffered their first defeat of the campaign, unexpectedly falling to Brighton with a 3-0 scoreline.
In light of these recent results, Saha feels the championship landscape is shifting.
The ex-striker commented:
I think everyone would agree that Arsenal had the best momentum, even though it waned a bit towards the end of last season.
But now, City seems to have realised their mistakes. Despite the influx of young talent, they still possess that invaluable experience.
The combination of power and creativity in midfield is incredible, which is why I consider them the strongest team. Just look at their bench—Jeremy Doku is returning. That’s frightening.
After the international break, Arsenal will face Leeds, while Manchester City will travel to take on Liverpool.
