Liverpool and several other European clubs are showing interest in 16-year-old striker Nicolas Scotti from Defensor. This has been reported by ESPN.
The young forward has already made his debut for Defensor's first team and is currently playing for Uruguay's U17 side. In the 2025/26 campaign, Scotti has featured in 10 matches, scoring two goals at both club and youth international levels.
Meanwhile, Brazilian clubs Sao Paulo and Atletico Mineiro are also monitoring the situation closely, having already made initial inquiries regarding the talented player.
Scotti's contract includes a release clause set at $8 million. However, Defensor, reliant on transfer income, is open to negotiating a sale for a lower amount if an official offer arrives in the near future. Back in Uruguay, Scotti is regarded as one of the standout prospects of his generation, with expectations high for his eventual inclusion in senior national team setups.
