Newcastle defender Lewis Hall has opened up about his childhood connection to the club, revealing that he followed their fortunes intently during his time at Chelsea's academy.
In an interview with The Gazette, the 21-year-old full-back reminisced about dreaming of stepping out at St James' Park from a young age.
When I was younger, I went on a tour of the stadium. Even while playing at Chelsea, I would immediately check Newcastle's results after our matches and sometimes even looked up their starting line-ups,
Hall shared.
The young player also mentioned that he regularly tuned in to watch the Magpies on television and always believed he would one day don the black and white shirt.
Hall made his move to Newcastle from Chelsea in 2024. Recently, he committed his future to the club, signing a contract that will keep him at St James' Park until 2031.
