Turin's Juventus have officially withdrawn from negotiations for the transfer of Emiliano Martínez. This is reported by Diario AS.
The Italian club were put off by Aston Villa's excessively high financial demands.
The Argentinian could have left the team as early as May 2025. However, no concrete offers were received at that time.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper is currently on holiday after the World Cup final against Spain. He will soon return to pre-season training under Unai Emery.
The shot-stopper moved to Aston Villa from London club Arsenal in 2020 for €17 million.
Now Juventus will shift their focus to other targets in the market. The club is looking for a long-term replacement for their ageing trio of goalkeepers, Michele Di Gregorio, Mattia Perin, and Carlo Pinsoglio.
