Juventus are considering three Liverpool players: Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, and Giovanni Leon. Contracts for the two veterans end next summer, while the 19-year-old Italian has already been a target for loan. These deals may depend on Champions League qualification.

Juventus are closely monitoring three Liverpool players – Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, and Giovanni Leon. After a rocky start to the season, the Turin club is keen to significantly refresh its squad, but their capacity to do so hinges on their potential qualification for the Champions League.

Currently, under the management of Luciano Spalletti, the club sits seventh in the league. A potential reinforcement includes Alisson, a player that Juventus actively pursued last summer.

The Brazilian goalkeeper’s contract with Liverpool is up next summer, and reports from Tuttosport suggest he's been in direct talks with Spalletti regarding a move to Turin.

The publication states:

He remains in the top ten goalkeepers in the world, and in recent months has communicated directly with Luciano about a potential transfer to Juventus.

Alisson should be viewed as a potential free transfer option. If he agrees to a salary lower than his current one at Liverpool, this could present a valuable opportunity.

A similar scenario is unfolding with van Dijk. The Liverpool captain’s contract also expires next summer. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, a member of Spalletti's entourage was spotted at a recent Netherlands vs. Germany match checking in on the defender's performance.

The third target is markedly different from the first two; Juventus are eyeing 19-year-old central defender Leon, as part of a strategy to increase the number of Italian players in their squad.

Gazzetta reports:

In recent months, Juventus have also explored the option of loaning Leon. Liverpool has not opened the door to such a possibility and hopes he will start featuring after the international break.

The defender is just returning from a serious injury, but the Turin side continues to monitor him on a near-weekly basis.

New Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevale has confirmed the club's intention to proceed with their squad reconstruction:

Our goal was to replace as many players as possible. Perhaps we could have done more, but improvements, including in management, come with understanding the situation. Over time, I am seeing more clearly where we can improve.

Carnevale also admitted that the club's financial resources are directly linked to the team's performance:

Our priority is to build a team that wins on the pitch. This requires a lot of work to lay a solid foundation and not rush things.

In modern football, Champions League qualification is crucial for maintaining financial viability. Without it, the situation can become very challenging.

Thus, Juventus’ interest in the trio from Liverpool is at varying stages. Alisson and van Dijk could potentially become free agents next summer, while Leon is tied into Liverpool's long-term plans, and the club has already dismissed the idea of his loan.
