Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has commented on the case involving Manchester City, who were recently deemed guilty of multiple financial breaches. Speaking at a press conference before Germany's Nations League fixture against Serbia, Klopp made it clear that he is not focusing on the intricacies of the investigation.
Of course, I've heard about it, but I haven't given it too much thought. I can only wait and see. I have great respect for Pep Guardiola and the way City play; they've delivered fantastic football and have been top-class opponents for us, Klopp remarked.
Klopp emphasised that he doesn't expect any retrospective changes to titles and is entirely satisfied with what Liverpool achieved under his management on the pitch.
If any sanctions are imposed, that’s beyond my concern. I'm far from preparing to receive any title or something similar. I'm absolutely happy with what we've accomplished at Liverpool. We fought hard on the pitch, he added.
